New Hampshire "Voters' Voice"
The Voters' Voice partnership--The Associated Press, The Telegraph of
Nashua, New Hampshire Public Radio and New Hampshire Public
Television--focused its coverage on citizen forums with presidential
primary candidates. Small groups of New Hampshire voters had the
opportunity to discuss issues and pose questions to individual candidates
in 90 minute sessions. Ten forums were scheduled over the four
months leading up to the first primary in the nation. Just prior to the
primary, New Hampshire Public Television, in conjunction with Maine and
Vermont Public Television, broadcast a one-hour call-in show with
the candidates.
